Ground Handling Services

Main services provided by TAV Georgia, which has been organized to meet all ground handling needs of an airline company at an airport, include passenger and baggage, unit load device control, ramp, aircraft cleaning, load control and communications, cargo, flight operations, transportation, as described within the framework of IATA Ground Handling Agreement and according to the air companies’ Ground Handling Manuals.

Main Services

1. Passenger Hand Services

  • Passenger Check-in service and baggage processes
  • Lost baggage, damaged baggage and transfer baggage processes
  • Directing passengers to the gate and boarding performance
  • Meeting transfer passengers & beggage
  • PRM, UM handling

2. Ramp Services

  • Meeting and marshalling the aircraft
  • Offloading and loading of aircraft
  • Equipment supply
  • Provision of Ground Power Unit,  Air Condition Unit (Ventilation/Heater), Air Starter Unit and Push-Back / Towing Unit services to the aircraft
  • Interior and exterior cleaning
  • Provision of toilet and water services to the aircraft
  • De-icing of aircraft in adverse weather conditions and taking measures for anti-icing
  • Passenger and crew transport between aircraft and passenger terminal
  • Ambu-lift

3. Cargo and Mail Services

For general cargo, special cargo products (dangerous goods, valuable cargo, courier etc.) and mail;

  • Transportation

4. Load Control, Communications and Flight Operation Services

  • Provision of aircraft service coordination
  • Preparation and distribution of flight  documents (loadsheet, manifest, weather forecast, flight plan etc.)
  • Provision of load control, weight and balance
  • Flight permit and airport slot applications

Airside Management

Main services:

Aerodrome service:

  • Equipment & personnel, needful for the operational  readiness of the runway, taxiway, apron and sourrounding areas for the safe landing/takeoff

Firefighting, Search and Rescue Service

  • Provision of all equipment and resources including trained staff  for  fire-fighting works and emergency operations & readiness.

Technical Maintanence Area

  • Technical maintenance area includes a garage with relevant facilities to conduct maintenance and repair works in a timely and effective manner.

Each airline has different procedures for domestic animals. You must inquire about this with your airline company. Most airlines do not accept birds and rodents into the cabin. These types of animals may travel in the cargo section of the aircraft. There is a restriction on the number of domestic animals accepted into the cabin.
We recommend passengers to be at the airport 120 minutes (2 hours) prior to their flight.
