TAV Georgia Continues to Invest for Infrastructure, Development and Service Improvement at Tbilisi International Airport A new, special vehicle workshop equipped with the high-technology was opened on July 18, 2013. Workshop with a total area of 404 m2 was equipped with modern equipment and high-technology; 120 units of equipment owned by Tbilisi Airport will be regularly checked and repaired at the workshop. The Workshop has the capacity to provide service to 2 Cobus type buses simultaneously, used for transporting passengers at the airport. Simultaneous technical services can also be provided to 4 units of mid-sized vehicles. In addition to the repair area, the resting and dressing rooms were arranged at the workshop, for usage by the personal of TAV Georgia Technical Service. 9 meters long repair pit has been arranged in the new building, where the high quality service was available for large sized vehicles. At the top of the repair pit electric engine hoist has been installed for removing of 500 kg engines. By using this device, it is now possible to save human resources during removing engine. In a renewed workshop a new air supply system has been installed for air powered special vehicles. A separate 23 m2 room has been arranged for tire dismantling-mounting and balancing.
